Members present: Sally Roe, Mike Gengler, Jerry Klassy, Marlis Silver, and Susan Wetherington
Others present: Todd Hasse, Kris Hasse, Hans Sulzer, Roger Zurfluh

Chairman Sally Roe opened the May 18th regular board meeting.
1. A motion was made by Mike Gengler and seconded by Jerry Klassy to approve the minutes of the April 20th meeting with the following correction: field road should be field drive. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Jerry Klassy, second by Mike Gengler to accept the Treasurer�s report. Motion Carried.
3. Bills were presented. Motion by Mike Gengler, second by Sally Roe to approve bills for payment except for Disch Excavating until amounts billed were verified.
4. No public comments were presented.
5. Hans Sulzer presented a summary of the Plan Commission meeting. The commission welcomed new member Greg Schwartzlow.
6. The town received the final registered copies of the Bittner and Goodman land divisions. Mike Gengler made the motion to refund deposits for both landowners; the motion was seconded by Jerry Klassy. Motion carried. Todd Hasse presented the zoning department�s approval for the conditional use permit for Frank Goodman�s property. Mike Gengler motioned the town board acknowledge the receipt of the completed conditional use application and that the town grant their statement of approval to the application as required by the county. Second by Sally Roe; motion carried.
7. No driveway permits were presented for consideration.
8. Patrolman�s report: Roger Zurfluh talked to TJ Disch and verified the information on the Disch Excavating bill tabled earlier in the meeting. Sally Roe moved to pay the Disch Excavating bill for $3,212.50; Jerry Klassy seconded the motion and the motion carried. Sally Roe reported on the field drive situation on Feldt Road. The land owner said they would resolve the situation by correcting the ruts created and using the graveled drive. The town board will continue to monitor the situation. Roger Zurfluh reported that he has filled holes, replaced stop signs and other missing road signs and cut trees on Silver Road. The newest of the town�s saws needs repair work. He has continued to do road tours in the town. The V-plow is in for service. Sally Roe asked Roger to do an inventory of road signs needed and she would investigate options for heavier road sign hardware. Roger also suggested getting bids for a new door on the town shed. Sally said the board would examine the door at their special meeting set for May 26. The board agreed to the purchase of a display case for the town�s notices. The case would be hung at the American Legion building.
9. Road repair/maintenance report: Purintin Road will receive paver patch on the road and at the bridge, along with rip-wrap, by the county. Wording for the repair work needed on Silver and Schneeberger was discussed. Request for bids will be published so that the bids can be opened at the June meeting. Sally Roe motioned to accept the county�s bid for the repair work on Krueger Road; Mike Gengler seconded the motion. Motion carried. Jerry Klassy asked that load tickets be verified by a town representative. Sally said she would talk to Jeff about that request.
10. Posting of roads prior to bridge repair on Highway 69: Mike Gengler moved and Jerry Klassy seconded a motion to post Wittenwyler and Feldt Roads with a Class B weight limit, allowing local deliveries to be exempt. Motion carried. Local residents that do not meet the listed requirements can apply for a permit. Postings will be reviewed at the June meeting and other roads may need signage.
11. No Fire District report to present.
12. Other business: Sally reminded the board of the Town�s Association meeting the end of May.
13. Jerry Klassy moved to adjourn the meeting; Sally Roe seconded the motion. Motion carried and meeting was adjourned.
