TOWN OF MT PLEASANT
MINUTES OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Monday, August 23, 2010
American Legion Building, Monticello
Attendees: Sally Roe, Mike Gengler, Jerry Klassy, Marlis Silver, Susan Wetherington.
1. Chair Sally Roe called the Public Informational meeting to order. She then turned it over to Supervisor Mike Gengler.
2. Mike Gengler introduced Keith Foye, Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to present information about the working lands initiative. Keith’s presentation is available by contacting town clerk.
3. Susan Wetherington presented information on the new e-cyle program and the ban of electronic devices from landfills. The Green County Landfill is serving as a collector site for electronic recycling and is charging $.15 to $0.30 per pound to residents for the recycling of electronics, including computer equipment and televisions.
4. Meeting was adjourned.
