River Road from EE to Krueger: Bad condition, holes and cracks

River Road from Krueger to F: Lateral cracks, possible crack seal. Pavement is relatively new. A large divot noted.

Krueger Road from River Road to Silver: First section of pavement, about 1 mile, notes need for crack sealing and seal coating. Maybe also need some paver patching.

Bridge railings are loose. Curb on south side is collapsed.

In newer pavement (just less than a mile) note some lateral cracks, possible need for crack sealing or paver patching.

Jerry notes that county estimated crack seal to end at $4,500

Silver north of River: potholes.

Silver north of EE: broken pavement on sides of road, lateral cracks toward C, spots where blacktop is coming up. North of C, cracks, maybe paver patch.

Silver S. of Krueger: Need blacktop to spread in some areas with potholes; otherwise road came through winter reasonably well; noted that grade in ditch could have been better prepared if surveyed.

Purintun east of Silver: Ditching and shoulder issues noted.

Purintun east of Rechsteiner: County estimate of $22,000 to complete sealcoat from Rechsteiner to town line. Need paver patch just before Schneeberger.

Fiedler: It has been crack sealed. Rough road noted at hill; possible paved before the rest of the road.

Zurfluh: Potholes; very large pothole just before Albany town line. Lots of cracks, road is not in good condition.

Schneeberger N. of Zurfluh: Potholes by the bridge. North of new pavement, lateral cracks. County estimated $7,500 to repair ditch and remove stumps north of where creek turns east; $1,800 for section closest to EE. Ditching issues noted but not clear how the water would run. We had shots of grade done at spot near woods.

Schneeberger S. of Zurfluh: Pavement outside of new section is low and cracking. Near Purintun a field drive runs into road. Ditching issues noted.

Trumpy Road. Condition is good relatively speaking to prior years. Ditch work on hill could have been continued south to end of drainage pattern. County would place 3” of compacted gravel for $14,510. Noted that it would help to raise the road up. Difference in measurements; county at 16’ width and other potential bidder at 17’ width. Other ditching issues noted.

North of the bridge, water in the road, no ditch. Have to work with landowner to pull banks back to right of way. If increase height of road by 3”, water probably not an issue. Mail delivery was an issue; we still need to clean brush. Situation is worst at N. end of road. Also tends to get soft at south end of road. County will clean brush in the ditch, only charge labor, if work is done in the winter.

Pfeuti Road: No ditch; fields encroach on right of way. Loose gravel, some washing.

Rechsteiner n. of F: Lateral cracks on sides. No ditch on hill. Need paver patch to level road at Groth driveway and stop standing water. Some ditching issues noted.

Rechsteiner S. of F: Some lateral cracks and damage to sides of road. Need ditch on east side of road. Broken pavement at Jeff Malkow’s field drive.

Rechsteiner S. of Oliver: No ditch on east side of road.

Spoerry Road (s. to n.): pavement broken up at town line. Cow yard drains directly onto road.

Oliver Road e. of Spoerry: Low spot noted; need to raise road bed and culvert. County estimated $15,000. Farm to S. needs waterway or water will pool where road is raised. Ditching issues noted. No ditch on curve; pavement is bad. Potholes near town line.

Oliver Road w. of Spoerry: Cow yard drainage directly onto road at Meier. No ditching on hill, field drive runout onto road. Potholes to Rechsteiner.

Oliver Road w. of Rechsteiner: No ditch or culvert at N. side of road at field drive; cracks in road after Malkow house. Other field drives empty onto road; no ditch or culvert. On top of hill near log house, maybe paver patch broken pavement.

Gilbertson s. of F: Broken pavement on edges, potholes. Cracks.

Ringhand: Some cracks and broken pavement.

Dutch Hollow: Cracks and broken pavement. No ditching on hill. Driveway empties directly onto road (paved Peters driveway). Need culvert at second bunker. Road is in bad shape.

Witt Road: Broken pavement, bad shape.

Feldt Road after Witt and before Sulzer – no issues noted.

Sulzer: Could use ditching near Feldt. Noted that breaker was put in on hill to stop washing. Broken pavement in center.

Gutzmer n. of Allison: Lateral cracks. Paver patching is cracking near 69.

Wittenwyler before Feldt. Need to move 20 ton sign closer to intersection.

Wittenwyler after Feldt: Edge cracks. Issue of standing water at triangle may be solved? Needs ditching from F to Feldt.

Feldt s. of Wittenwyler: Shoulder is still higher than road; cow yard and amusement area drain directly into road.

Feldt s. of Gilbertson to Sulzer: edge cracks; most cracks were sealed. Bridge marker on nw corner is in the ditch.

Gilbertson e. of Feldt: Bad pavement between two bridges. At second bridge, could be widened for $25,000 if use box culvert and $22,000 (both from county) if use double culvert. Jerry notes that this bridge is rated 86 out of 100. Beyond the bridge, some cracks, potholes. Rough pavement on curves under bluff.

Cemetery: Broken pavement, potholes, edge cracking. Noted good base from former highway.

Wettach: Lateral edge cracks.

Marshall Bluff n. of C: more lateral cracks; pavement is generally pretty good.

Pratt Road n. of C: lots of cracks, poor surface.
